Freedom.
Freedom is an abstract thought.
To the souls that are incarcerated, it is the chance to attain liberty.
For the anxious of heart; an existence grounded in peace & tranquility.
For those that are under privileged; it is access to resources and opportunity.
For those who feel alone, togetherness and unity.
Freedom is an abstract thought.
Are the waves free to transverse the sea from Pacific to Atlantic?
Is love free? To be more specific, Is it free to be romantic?
Is time free? Or does it cost for every minute and every moment.
Are words free? Or can they paint a vivid picture worth a thousand strokes coming from the mouth of a poet.
See; freedom is an abstract thought
And ironically freedom isn’t free.
It must be paid for on the daily
By the words and actions of you and me.
The price we pay is worth the cost,
Worth the struggle, scuffle, and sacrifice.
If we are not all free, none of us are free.
Lady Liberty demands her just dues.
And we may have to pay for father freedom with our own life.
