AS I DEPART

This is the last day I witness these faces before I depart,

Before I leave this life behind & follow my heart.

The Burden of who I must become is to great to bear,

Today I surrender to my spirit and overcome my Fear.

Few seldom embrace the destiny to which they R called,

Most live in mediocrity, afraid to make some appalled.

This Day I abandon that existence, as I decide to finally live,

Knowing that my final day is someday in the future; I want to go knowing my all I did give.

So today marks my last day living in part,

The whole me buries the old me with tears in my eyes

As I depart.
